Vanessa Silvas is a third year English major at UCSB.  She is currently employed by UCSB Recreation Sports and the United Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara County.  Silvas plays for the 2007 State Champion UCSB women's club field hockey team.  A native of San Diego, Silvas enjoys the beach, although she is an avid snowboarder.  Silvas plans to graduate UCSB in the spring of 2009.
